Cornilleau 250 Indoor Table Tennis Table:
The Cornilleau 250 indoor ping pong table has a new look and design as of 2016. Cornilleau decided to change a few things on the older model tables. First, the new side panel design has a folding net instead of a retractable net. Racket holders are no longer included. Don’t get too concerned because Cornilleau kept all the other features that players around the world have come to recognize. There is still quality craftsmanship throughout and sleek design features.
Let’s start with the high density playing surface. You get a tabletop that is 3/4 inch (19mm) thick and provides excellent indoor ball bounce. Whether you are holding a neighborhood tournament or just playing with family, the Cornilleau 250 Indoor table is worth the investment. The Cornilleau 500 Indoor features a 22mm thick (7/8 inch) tabletop, so the bounce is slightly superior if you choose to go with that table instead.
The frame is made with a 1 ½ inch structural galvanized steel. Just slightly less sturdy that what you will find on the Cornilleau 500 Indoor. The table weighs in at roughly 165 pounds, so the resin coated galvanized steel legs give the tabletop plenty of stability. The legs are adjustable for height, which really helps when trying to get a level playing surface on uneven floors.
We like the 6 inch double wheel casters on the table. Mobility on all floor surfaces is easy as the wheels are smooth to operate. The wheels feature a locking mechanism (brakes) so you can set the table in place once you have it where you want it. There is also ball storage on the sides of the table. The Cornilleau 250 Indoor table tennis table is solidly built, stable to play on, and looks great. The price is comparable to the Stiga STS 385, JOOLA Tour 1800 Indoor, and the Stiga STS 420. We also like the Killerspin MyT7 tables (Blue and Black version) for around $800.
